Description

When grown as a herbaceous perennial Phygelius, the Cape Figwort, reaches a height of around 70cm however in more, sheltered areas it is an evergreen shrub reaching up to 1.5 metres with a similar spread. In summer, large panicles of buds are produced which open into tubular creamy yellow flowers.

Phygelius x rectus Moonraker prefers part shade but will take full sun. It makes an excellent feature plant in a pot on the patio or an exceptional talking point in a large pot in a warm conservatory where it will form a large, evergreen shrub.
