Description
A stunning, larger, woody sage which is hardy to -5°C so in the coldest areas some protection is recommended. The fiery orange red flowers are carried on upright spikes throughout the summer and autumn. If flower spikes are cut back once finished, more flowers will come all through the summer and autumn. It makes an excellent addition to herbaceous borders and, if planted in large pots, patios. Plants grown in pots are best moved under cover in the winter whilst plants in borders will appreciate a dry mulch through-out the winter.
