Description
A lovely, specially selected range of sweet-scented Ipheion uniflorum varieties in shades of white, silvery blue and violet, all with a deep purple vein in the centre of each petal. The shiny green grass-like foliage has an onion/garlic scent when crushed. A very hardy bulb, creating a mixture of beautiful 20-25cm tall flowers in March, through to May.
Ipheion uniflorum makes a spectacular feature plant in a pot and can be bought into the house when in flower for welcome Early Spring colour. Beautiful addition to the alpine house as well as the front of borders, planting under deciduous bushes (roses, etc).
Ipheion uniflorum are bulbous plants supplied potted with a minimum of 3 bulbs per pot. We recommend keeping in the pot until the foliage dies back and then planting a little deeper with the top of the compost from the pot buried about 2cm down. In colder areas we would recommend applying a mulch in the autumn.
