Description
These plastic seed trays have rolled edges for extra rigidity and to help prevent those annoying cuts you can get from thin plastic trays. Although these trays are lightweight they can be used over and over again. The drainage holes are on 2 levels making them suitable for use with both overhead and sub irrigation.
We use these trays for our alpine seeds and cuttings. We initially water them from overhead and then place them on capillary matting to ensure constant moisture.
Two of these seed trays will fit in a conventional tray, if required, though they do not require additional support. Clear tops are available separately.
Each seedtray measures 154mm x 205mm x 52mm deep. This size makes them ideal for low volume seed sowing and for use indoors. They fit most windowsills easily and do not take up too much room in the fridge for those seeds that need cold treatment (cold stratification)
