Description
Cotula hispida is an attractive mound forming perennial alpine. The soft, silver grey, feathery foliage is pretty enough on its own but combined with the unusual, bright yellow, button-like flowers on thin wiry stems make this plant essential for any rock or scree garden. When watered, or after rain, water drops are held by the foliage and they look like little silvery balls. It is also great at the edge of Mediterranean gardens or as a specimen pot plant in the alpine house.
A hardy plant which should survive normal winter conditions outside, especially in well drained soil with protection from winter wet. If grown in pots it is recommended to place in a sheltered position for the winter.
Supplied in a 9cm round pot.
