Description
This clump forming, fully hardy, deciduous bulbous plant is a true performer. Since its introduction in 1913, Orion has provided excellent early colour with its vivid Violet-Blue flower spikes.
Camassia Orion grows well in light shade, on stoney outcrops as well as in open situations in a variety of soils. Unusually they do well in wetter areas including alongside streams and rivers. Camassias grow will in clay and are drought tolerant. They grow well in full sun and semi shade and are a valuable, adaptable plant which will spread forming clumps.
