Description
Sisyrinchium idahoense var. bellum ‘Rocky Point’ is a much improved variety with has large, violet blue flowers with a golden yellow centre over grassy green, sword-like leaves in spring and summer. Easy to grow in a sunny, moist position with good drainage. Will remain evergreen through out mild UK winters but may become deciduous during cold winters, returning again in spring.
Sisyrinchium ‘Rocky Point’ will form a large clump but does not set seed so will not become invasive.
Height x Spread 15cm x 20cm. Good in rockeries, troughs, pots and the front of borders. The large, showy flowers and neat growth habit make ‘Rocky Point’ an excellent variety for the show bench.
