Description

Nepeta nervosa is a superb species that should not be overlooked! From midsummer to early autumn, this hardy perennial produces short, stout spikes of densely packed, unusually dark lilac-blue flowers, which are highly attractive to bees and butterflies and make an excellent addition to cut flower bouquets.

The narrow, lanceolate, green leaves are highly fragrant and prominently veined.

Using underground runners, this lovely nepeta will form a dense, bushy clump that makes a wonderful addition to the front of a sunny, well-drained border.
