Description
Aubretia gracilis Florado Blue is best grown in well-drained, moisture retentive soil in full sun. It is an ideal plant for dry areas such as chalky slopes and growing on walls where it will cascade down them. It forms a mat of small mid green leaves and small purple flowers from early spring into the summer. Although it prefers full sun it can tolerate partial shade. Being hardy and evergreen it is a useful container plant for spring colour.
It is an excellent plant for rock gardens, walls, softening the edge of paths and the front of borders.
