Description

Lobelia speciosa Starship Blue is a very showy perennial with bright purple blue flowers held in tall spikes above green foliage. Excellent for borders, containers and pots on the patio. It makes an excellent cut flower and is popular with flower arrangers and will flower reliably until the first frost as long as the flower stems are removed when finished flowering. Exotic looking but hardy in most situations. In exposed areas we would recommend using a dry mulch over winter.

A hardy plant which should survive normal winter conditions outside, especially with protection from the hardest frosts. If grown in pots it is recommended to place in a sheltered position for the winter, preferably a frost free unheated greenhouse.

Supplied in a 9cm square pot.
