After a fantastic first market for us last week we will be returning to Spilsby this week. All our plants are hardy and grown hard in Lincolnshire. This means they quickly grow on once planted (as long as you remember to water them for the first few weeks if required).
We grow alpines, herbs and herbaceous perennials, many of which are excellent for pollinating insects. We have some unusual herbs including the fantastic ginger rosemary which combines the heat of ginger with the familiar rosemary taste. These two flavours compliment each other and give a beautiful flavour to tear & share breads, tagines and meat dishes (especially lamb).
Spilsby Market is held every Monday from 9 AM–4 PM in Market Place Car Park and Buttercross Car Park in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, PE23 5JT, excluding bank holidays. The market has been established since 1302.
We will be bringing our range of Lincolnshire grown hardy garden plants. You can choose from alpines, herbs and herbaceous perennials with prices starting from £2.50.
We have strawberry mint which adds an excellent flavour to summer drinks etc, spearmint which makes a wonderful herbal tea as well as being excellent on new potatoes and mint sauce, ginger rosemary is an excellent pairing of the two distinctive flavours. We also have lots of stunning plants for colour in your garden including many you don’t see very often.
We’re back at the Hedgerows for this excellent small farmers market. Why not come along for your hardy garden plants, spring flowering bulbs and Fruit & Veg from Nathan Willows Fresh Produce. Were here on a Sunday this week to prevent clashing with the Collingham Show.
The market has plenty of parking and is all on hard standing.
